Katrina Smith & Lunar Crown
In 2021, I was assigned an advertising project in a college course. The focus was the advertisement, but we were encouraged to come up with a brand identity for the assignment. Looking for an identity which blended femininity with elegance, and even a bit of camp, I landed on Lunar Crown, an identity I continue to develop alongside my own personal brand. This section explores both.
"Familiar" logo
A personal logo designed for myself in January 2022. A simple design, utilizing my favorite personal elements: cats, eyeliner, moons, and mystical imagery.
Lunar Crown (round)
The current vertical/round logo for Lunar Crown. The typography is based on a simple 3:1 ratio, incorporating crescent shapes where possible and transforming the C into an actual crescent moon.
Lunar Crown (horizontal)
Branding designed for my online persona with an identity distinct from my own.
Gaming & ESports
Gaming is one of my great passions outside of art and music, and as a result, I have done some small projects utilizing branding and logo design for gaming.
For a design challenge, my classmates and I were challenged to create our own esports team. Many esports players, akin to wrestlers, often play into 'character tropes', being heroic to garner support from the crowd or being utterly ruthless and attracting their hate.
To this extent, Archangels was designed to play into heroic, noble tropes, while maintaining the sleek, edgy aesthetics that many esports teams have.
